Testimonials:

“Thanks for the valuable info you so succinctly imparted to all at your workshop. You are certainly an excellent presenter of knowledge. Any person who left without having learned much about the publishing business wasn’t listening.”
Johnny Ashcroft OAM

“One of the most comprehensive and practical courses I have undertaken. The information is clear, concise and applicable. Makes one wonder if there is any real need to go through the majors at all.”
Simon Hunter, Executive Chairman of International Screen Academy, Australia

“I enjoyed the workshop this weekend. Thank you for your presentation and sharing your industry experience!”
Kristine Ross-Hinton, actress, model, yoga instructor

I have been to Nerida’s workshop for ‘Writing Magazine Articles’ and the insight, tips and how to get started was really helpful. If you are on a writers journey its a must as this really helps with research, what and how to do things! I highly recommend this workshop as it does make the daunting much easier.
Dee Dee McCarthy

“I built my dream through the workshops were I could strut my stuff and have it assessed by my peers. I now understand that a writer has to write as a builder has to build, not just to make plans. I made my way into the writing world knowing that assistance was only an email away. What S.T.A.R.S. offered was what I needed.”
Bob Nicol

On Screenwriting
“Screenwriting for Beginners,  was an exciting  workshop given by the very talented Nerida Marshal last weekend.   It is  a must for anyone who is thinking of writing  for movies  or t.v.  I discovered that  there is no point in writing a wonderful script if you do not know how to present it to studios. It will not go anywhere.  So if writing for movies is for you contact Nerida to find out when the next workshop will be held, or catch her on Facebook.

Five Steps for Getting Published
If you have ever written a book and wondered what to do next the S.T.A.R.S. ‘ Nerida’s Five Steps for Getting Published ‘is a workshop you should consider.  This intensive, interactive workshop which I attended yesterday gives  all the answers on presenting your work to a mainstream publisher.
Topics covered are How to write Loglines,  Story Synopsis, Author’s Bio’s, Query Letters etc, etc.  Also included which was a surprise, was how to package and post your precious novel.
Sounds simple but if it is not  presented correctly  your work will not be considered for publication (remember there is a lot of competition out there).
A  fantastic workshop definitely not one  to be missed.

On Writing Romance
I like to write, but have never considered writing Romantic Stories until I attended Nerida Marshall’s exciting workshop last Saturday on ‘Writing Romance Stories That Sell.’
This is a diverse and lucrative market with many new opportunities opening for the experienced and would be author.
The workshop was fun, informative and interactive giving all the information that is needed. – and of course there is always back up from Nerida if you decided to give it a try.
Barbara Harding Gaskell

“Your workshops were invaluable. Without them, I would not have won prizes in scriptwriting contests nor would I be the same person. They made me not only love words and books, but also love the art of Film. Through your workshops and seminars I entered the Magic Portals of the imagination as a creator. I have met a group of people with hearts full of dreams learning to express them so others may share. I am in your debt forever.”
Ann Mills

“Thank you so much for an excellent workshop yesterday. I found it so helpful, and am really glad that I was able to attend. The information was invaluable, and you really made me feel welcome.”
Loren Nels

I recently attended one of Nerida’s  workshops on getting published, and I thought the information I gained was invaluable.  We were shown how to present our work, choose the right publisher for the subject. To be able to condense the wording for a synopsis, to use the correct wording for your covering letter to the publisher, so that they will look at your work. Also above all how to protect your work. For anyone wanting to go to the  main stream of publishing, this course is a must.
Ann Farrell

Just a quick note to let you know how much I enjoyed the Creative Writing-Exciting Writing workshop! I liked how it was so practical and I felt I got a lot out of it.
Have already started implementing some of the advice and methodology!
Jim Lagerstedt

I have just completed a workshop for “Creative People” run by Nerida Marshall under the banner of ‘S.T.A.R.S.’ This is a group devoted to the development of writing excellence on the ‘Gold Coast.’ Many people have great ideas but are unable to communicate them for others to enjoy. This problem is addressed by ‘S.T.A.R.S.’ who organise workshops that help creative people achieve their real potential. Membership of ‘S.T.A.R.S.’ bring you into contact with others with similar aspirations to share your creative ideas. My own understanding gained from the introduction to a range of potential marketing strategies to share my creative efforts.
